SAii Lagoon Maldives is the first resort to complete certification this year, with sister resorts, SAii Phi Phi Island Village, SAii Laguna Phuket having also completed their final on-site audits this month.

Mövenpick Hotel Doha: Giving Back & Moving Forward in Qatar
Mövenpick Hotel Doha has once again been recognized as a sustainable tourism champion, with its recent recertification by Green Globe. The Hotel’s efforts have been independently assessed and comply with both Green Globe’s International Standard for Sustainable Tourism v1.7, as well as Mövenpick Hotel & Resorts (MHR) operational ethos, “nourishing the environment, our people and the local communities where we operate our hotels and resorts.”

Green Globe Certification Promotes Collaboration with Swisstainable
The Swisstainable programme offers three different levels and has an ongoing collaboration with Green Globe. Anyone who joins the movement and takes part in the program can use the Swisstainable signet. The program is free of charge, and Green Globe certified members may enter the programme at Level III.

Living Hotels Invests in Wirelane Electromobility
A new step towards the symbiosis between electromobility and the hotel industry. Wirelane welcomes the Living Hotels of the Derag Group as a new business partner. From now on, all apartment hotels of the family-run hotel chain in Germany and Austria will be equipped with charging infrastructure for electric vehicles from Wirelane.

Top Caribbean Resort Dedicates Nature Preserve to its Home Community
Undeveloped green space in Aruba is becoming harder to find on the small island. This will soon change according to celebrated hotelier Ewald Biemans, Owner/CEO of Bucuti & Tara Beach Resort. Together with island friend Grete Marie Case and a significant sponsorship by the resort, they have donated 12 hectares (30 acres) of their private land as a nature preserve for the public to enjoy.
