The Caribbean’s first and only certified carbon-neutral hotel demonstrates an unwavering commitment to environmental and social responsibility, earning decades-long accolades for its dedication to sustainability, which recently included an appearance at the United Nations’ global climate change conference, COP28.

Green Globe has awarded Mövenpick Resort Cam Ranh in Vietnam its inaugural certification with the property receiving an impressive compliance score of 91%. Located amongst lush tropical gardens on a 17km stretch of white sandy beach, Mövenpick Resort Cam Ranh is considered one of the jewels of Vietnam’s vast coastline. Overlooking the pristine shores of Long Beach, Mövenpick Resort Cam Ranh embraces numerous eco-friendly practices.

Constance Ephelia Seychelles was recently recertified for the ninth consecutive year. The five-star resort represents the cornerstone of Sustainable Tourism in the Seychelles and was first certified by Green Globe in 2014. The hotel collaborates with Food Intel Tech, a food waste monitoring solution for commercial kitchens, to track and reduce food waste. Great efforts are made to tackle food waste at the property and an interesting new idea has been introduced with the sale of chicken bones and fish head waste to generate revenue. In addition, some of the food refuse is collected by a farmer and fed to pigs on the island while vegetable remains are segregated and fed to a family of Aldabra giant tortoises.

Green Globe has awarded Swissotel Al Ghurair & Swissotel Living Al Ghurair in Dubai its first certification in acknowledgement of its sustainable management and operations. The complex of Swissôtel Al Ghurair and Swissôtel Living Al Ghurair is connected to the Al Ghurair Shopping Centre. The hotel has consistently worked on various sustainable initiatives and received an impressive compliance score of 92%.

Sofitel Melbourne On Collins has been awarded the prestigious Green Globe certification in recognition of its commitment to implementing and maintaining sustainable operations and procedures. As part of this, the property has implemented a number of ongoing sustainability initiatives such as conserving water, minimising waste generation and reducing energy consumption. In addition, a QR code system has been implemented that allows guests to explore a ‘Greener Melbourne’.

Mövenpick Hotel Zürich Airport was awarded Platinum Certification by Green Globe in 2021, marking ten years of continuous certification. The hotel has now reached a total of twelve years of certification, an incredible effort by management and staff acknowledging their long-term commitment to continuous improvement in sustainability.

First certified by Green Globe in 2023, Sofitel Barcelona Skipper is Sofitel’s newest flagship hotel in southern Europe.

Raffles and Fairmont Makati is the first luxury hotel in the Philippines to be awarded Green Globe certification. The inaugural certification acknowledges Raffles Fairmont Makati’s unwavering commitment to sustainable and responsible operations.

Green Globe Certification, a leader in sustainable tourism certification has awarded VIE Hotel Bangkok - MGallery its first certification. VIE Hotel Bangkok - MGallery is one of only 5 hotels in Bangkok to receive this coveted award.  A sustainability leader within Bangkok and the global hotel and tourism industry, VIE Hotel Bangkok - MGallery is a pioneer in adopting and implementing best practices to eliminate single-use plastic, to reduce waste and to pursue responsible tourism activities within its local community.

Located in a peaceful part of Schiphol Airport’s business area and near Amsterdam city center, Hyatt Place Amsterdam Airport was first certified by Green Globe in 2016, and since been awarded GOLD status for its continuous and independently audited sustainable management.

Recently, the Bürgenstock Resort unveiled an ambitious sustainability plan, reaffirming its commitment to environmental stewardship. With initiatives from biodiversity to sustainable food waste. The Bürgenstock Resort has been a leader in sustainability since its opening in 2017 and continues to build upon these values.
