Green Eco Technologies: Food Waste Reduced with the Switch of a Button

Green Eco Technologies is an Australian company that has designed and manufactures WasteMaster units that are currently installed globally in the USA, UK, UAE, Spain, France, Chile and Australia.

The company’s aim is to cost-effectively help businesses minimise the impact of their organic waste on the environment by developing, supplying and managing innovative, efficient and beneficial solutions for the on-site conversion and re-purposing of food waste as reusable resources.

WasteMaster is an Australian technology which converts putrescible waste into a concentrated dry residue within 24 hours which has virtually no odour and does not attract rodents. Putrescible waste is organic matter such as food waste that is subject to putrefaction or rapid degradation by microorganisms. The recycling process is expediated by unique Mixed Ion Reactive Approach (M.I.R.A) technology, that does not use water or any additives. For every 500kg of food waste loaded into the WasteMaster system, the recycling technology outputs approximately 100kg of compost-like, high-calorific value, residual material. The residue is collected on a weekly basis and can be disposed of via an anaerobic digester system that produces biomethane and in-turn is used to generate renewable electricity or to create high quality fertiliser and compost.

WasteMaster provides an onsite solution to food waste resulting from food production, processing, preparation or cooked leftovers. GHG emissions can be reduced by up to 84% and waste is diverted from landfill. No gas, water or enzymes are used in the conversion process and units are easily installed, requiring only a three-phase power supply and air outlet. Perfect for hospitals, hotels, apartment buildings, shopping centres, restaurants, catering providers or food waste managers.

Each unit is fitted with innovative high-tech features that simplify processes. With the flick of a single automatic button the WasteMaster system is safely and simply operated. The system can be remotely monitored and generate reports on actual waste volumes while a touch screen and sensors help facilitate real-time monitoring of the recycling process and replacement of full bins with empty bins.

Award winning WasteMaster units are available in 400kg and 1000 kg units to suit individual waste management needs.
