Mercure Dubai Says, Yes We Can to Environmental Saving

Contributing to environmental preservation, Mercure Dubai actively participates in the Can Collection campaign organized by the Emirates Environmental Group (EEG). This initiative aims to minimize landfill waste, conserve energy, and promote material repurposing. The hotel's commendable efforts last year resulted in the collection of an impressive 621 kg of cans, 9455 kg of glass, 300kg of paper, 103kg of plastic and 3pcs of toner leading to significant environmental benefits. Notably, the hotel's contributions conserved 176 Mbtu of energy, mitigated 14 MTCO2e of greenhouse gas emissions, saved 5 trees and 1 gallon of gasoline. Such collective endeavors are pivotal in enhancing environmental consciousness and advancing towards a circular economy-driven society, ultimately contributing to the overarching goal of achieving Net Zero.
