New Face at Green Globe Head Office LA

Christina Althammer has been appointed as Green Globe Team Intern at our Los Angeles Head Office. Christina is studying the different sustainability certifications for the hospitality industry and has come to Green Globe to work on special projects with leading hotel chains globally. Christina says, "It is well known that sustainability in the tourism sector is an emerging market, and therefore, I would like to explore the work and processes of sustainability certification.” We welcome Christina and hope all in our Green Globe network will connect with this bright new talent of the future.

Saving Planet and Environment at art’otel amsterdam

art'otel amsterdam is located in the city centre of Amsterdam opposite the iconic Central Station with the lively Dam Square on the doorstep. The hotel is a monumental building, formerly known as the ‘kadaster’. The historical façade blends in with surrounding classic buildings while interiors are contemporary, filled with interesting and striking art and design. Moustafa El-Kabbash, Head Housekeeper at the hotel said, “We are very proud of achieving Green Globe Certification again. There have been many sustainability efforts and improvements at our hotel. Over the past year, we have mainly focused on saving the planet and the environment through making donations to preserve our nature, better waste management practices and using less energy and water.”

Regensburg Tourism Awarded Green Globe Recertification for Environmentally Friendly Commitment

Regensburg Tourismus GmbH (RTG) is the official tourism organization of Regensburg. Founded in April 2005, the organization employs around 60 staff members supported by 100 certified tour guides who cater for tourists, local residents and customers of RTG. The tourism organization has been proactively committed to sustainability since its founding and has been an exemplary role model. All events organized by RTG for the World Heritage City meet the strictest environmental requirements.
