The 7.1 magnitude earthquake that hit Mexico City has caused great damage and Green Globe has been contacting our members across the country. So far we have reports that members, their staff, family and friends have been unscathed. It is still relatively early into the rescue and recovery phase of this disaster and we will try an stay up to date with details.


IBEROSTAR Mexico: Sustainable Tourism for Riviera Maya

MEMBER OF THE MONTH: IBEROSTAR Hotels & Resorts Mexico is a collection of 10 hotels and resorts located along the Riviera Maya  and on the Island of Cozumel. Help Rebuild Barbuda

Green Globe member Elite Island Resorts and their group of Caribbean based properties have put together a gofundme campaign to assist rebuild the island of Barbuda which was devastated on September 6, by Hurricane Irma. Nearly every home and building on the island suffered severe damage, including schools, medical facilities, homes, and businesses. Elite Island's Galley Bay Resort & Spa on the neighbouring island of Antiqua also received damage, so we ask all Green Globe Members to get behind this relief effort and donate via the link: Help Rebuild Barbuda

Comité Régional du Tourisme de Bretagne Supports Sustainable Practices

The mission of the Regional Tourism Committee of Brittany (Comité Régional du Tourisme de Bretagne - CRTB) is to support the development and promotion of a sustainable tourism economy in Brittany.
