Authentic sustainability has been practiced in Switzerland for years. In well-known rankings, Switzerland is always at the top – but many people don't know it. Along with Switzerland Tourism’s new sustainability strategy and participation by the tourism industry, the Swisstainable program should change this.

The Swisstainable program is open to all companies and organizations involved in Swiss tourism: companies that already have comprehensive sustainability certification and companies that now want to embark on more sustainable development. The Swisstainable programme offers three different levels and has an ongoing collaboration with Green Globe. Anyone who joins the movement and takes part in the program can use the Swisstainable signet. The program is free of charge, and Green Globe certified members may enter the programme at Level III.
