Mövenpick Hotel Apartments Al Mamzar, Dubai was recertified by Green Globe for its continued environmental and social sustainability efforts.

The property had taken a step towards sustainability with the installation of wash-basin motion sensors from the back of the house to all the guest rooms since 2014. Embracing further changes in 2015, halogen bulbs were replaced with LED lights. Today, as a result, the property has conserved a total of 3,500 cubic meters of water and 3,350 megawatt hours of energy.

Operations Manager Rany Chammas said, “Mövenpick Hotel Apartments Al Mamzar is an environmentally concerned organisation. In our third year of Green Globe certification, we take pride in our conservation efforts and consistency in implementing sustainability measures to significantly reduce energy and water consumption.

“Proper management is the key to this success. Our energy-efficiency was maximised through utilizing LED lights and motion sensors in back of the house areas. We also focused on waste management and recycling, alongside corporate social responsibility activities within our community.”

The property also supports the community’s drive towards sustainability, as it proactively participates in community services through its campaigns, such as Can Collecting Campaign, A Kilo of Kindness, Walk for Education and Clean Up UAE.
