With US$3 million invested in improving education for Negril’s young people, the Rockhouse Foundation has transformed and modernized five schools: Moreland Hill Primary and Infant Schools, Negril All Age School, Negril Basic School, Little Bay All Age and Infant Schools, Bunch of Stars ECI, along with the complete renovation and expansion of the Negril Community Library.
The Foundation preserves its donors’ investment through an ongoing commitment to facilities maintenance at all the schools. The Foundation’s current project establishes the region’s first Special Needs Inclusion Model Early Childhood School. The Torrington Inclusive Infant Academy is a two-year project creating a unique center of excellence for regular learners, children with special needs, and a center for training parents and teachers in assessing and managing students across the spectrum of special needs.
