“It is our goal to strive for perfection, and we are deeply committed to live the Green Globe principles on a daily basis,” said Sandy Decker, Environmental Officer at the hotel. “Our recent re-certification, with a score of 97% against the Green Globe criteria, cements our commitment to continually refine the level of understanding of sustainability, and periodically take time to implement improvements wherever possible.”

A wide range of green initiatives, such as waste reduction and recycling, increasing energy efficiency, environmental education, and community outreach, have been integrated at Mövenpick Hotel Zürich-Airport. The hotel currently participates in a pilot project, testing paperless guest check-in/out. Guests are encouraged to reduce their carbon footprint and preserving water resources.
