GRENADA (May 18, 2015) – Spice Island Beach Resort (http://www.SpiceIslandBeachResort.com) is set to welcome new travelers from the east coast as JetBlue Airways launches nonstop, twice weekly service on Thursdays and Sundays between New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) and Grenada’s Maurice Bishop International Airport (GND) beginning June 11, 2015.

“We are pleased JetBlue appreciates the lure and luxury of Grenada tourism and expect that this new airlift will make it more convenient for loyal friends of the island and new visitors,” said Sir Royston Hopkin, KCMG, the resort’s chairman and managing director. “JetBlue will compliment the service provided by our existing fleet of airlift from the east coast, all combining quality in the air with first-class Grenadian hospitality on the ground,” he added.

“We cannot wait to add Grenada to our network of Caribbean destinations,” said Dave Clark, JetBlue’s vice president, network planning. “Grenada is one of the most beautiful and adventurous destinations in the Caribbean, and our new nonstop service will make it much easier to get there. Whether you go for the white sand beaches, world class diving, flagship resorts, or rich history, we know you will want to return again and again.”

JetBlue will serve the route with its spacious 150-seat Airbus A320 aircraft featuring the most legroom in coach (based on average fleet-wide seat pitch of U.S. airlines), free first-run movies on flights to/from Grenada, and unlimited free snacks and soft drinks.

Grenada’s lavish Spice Island Beach Resort maintains its reputation for providing five-star amenities and unparalleled service and has been included as one of the “12 Most Luxurious All-Inclusive Resorts in the World” by Huffington Post, a Pulitzer Prize-winning online news outlet which reaches more than 47 million readers each month.
