Mövenpick Hotel Berlin, Germany, completes Renovation
April 19, 2013 Arton Kabashi

Green Globe announces that renovation work at Mövenpick Hotel Berlin – a Green Globe certified property – has been completed. The four-star superior hotel now offers guests several new features: a newly designed reception area, an artistic lobby bar, two additional conference rooms and a modern fitness center. Mövenpick Hotel Berlin already sits in a premier position among the hotels of Berlin: Since its opening in early 2004, this hotel has extended Swiss hospitality to more than 850,000 guests from over 56 nations.

Guests can now experience even higher standards of comfort: Public areas, including the reception and the lobby, have been redesigned. An area, that – until recently had been used for other purposes – now accommodates a new bar with direct access to the restaurant Hof Zwei. There is also a state-of-the-art fitness center and two additional meeting rooms. Two additional conference rooms with daylight and air conditioning, each 60 square meters, have been added to the banqueting facilities. The banqueting area now extends over 1,100 square meters with 12 conference rooms. The new rooms carry the names of two famous Swiss Alpine passes, Bernina und Glacier. High quality furniture and an attractive color concept harmonize with the interior design of the rest of the hotel. A key feature of the growing banqueting area is the conference foyer which provides a striking backdrop for conference guests to enjoy the quality, healthy foods and beverages which are served during meeting breaks.

The reception area has an eye-catching new look. Bright, warm, natural tones and a balanced interaction of superior materials make an immediate impression on guests when they arrive. Guests benefit from access to a business center equipped with modern technology and a separate concierge desk. A new, digitalized signage concept makes it simple for new guests to find their way around the hotel. An outstanding new feature is the innovatively designed lobby bar with direct access to the restaurant Hof Zwei. The original visual concept of the reception area is mirrored and complemented with purple tones. The bar welcomes both early birds and night owls with a service range that starts with a breakfast for those in a hurry and concludes with a relaxing nightcap. Comfortable seating for up to 40 people and an appealing atmosphere provide the perfect place for business meetings, social gatherings and relaxation. The new fitness center features contemporary design, and the latest workout facilities, including cardio equipment with integrated LCD display. A separate lift provides hotel guests with private access.

The Mövenpick Hotel Berlin offers guests not only a new appearance but also a unique ambience of comfort, culinary highlights and the accustomed, authentic Swiss hospitality. For further information please visit www.moevenpick-hotels.com/berlin, or phone +49 (30) 23006-285.
