One of Green Globe Certification’s Elite Members, the Maya Ubud Resort & Spa in Bali, recently took home the 24k gold-plated signature Hermes trophy at this year’s TTG Travel Awards – an annual regional event organized by TTG Asia Media’s Travel Trade publishing group. Maya Ubud Resort & Spa was crowned ‘Best Resort Hotel’ of the year, in the non-beach category.

A new record of 120,000 valid votes was garnered during a two months period (late May – early August) from print and online subscribers of the group’s six titles: TTG Asia, TTG China, TTG India, TTG Mice, TTG-BT Mice China, and TTG Asia Luxury. Readers of the relevant industry sectors cast their votes of confidence for the 68 winning travel suppliers and travel agency organizations, who had won their affirmation with exceptional services and products.

In accepting the award, Paul Blake, Maya Ubud’s General Manager, stated how delighted he was to win this prestigious award for the second time, and emphasized how it was a testament to the unique, personalized standard of service, extended by a dedicated staff, and through the inspirational style of the resort’s management team.

Maya Ubud Resort & Spa is committed to create and maintain the sector benchmark for environmentally responsible style, implementing innovative initiatives and promoting awareness. The property is immersed in a number of activities and organizations that give back to the community, while local Balinese culture finds a strong support. Since its opening in 2001, this luxury resort has demonstrated outstanding best practices and proactive measures, protecting and sustaining the environment for generations to come.
