LOS ANGELES, CA – As the first Green Globe certified hotel in Germany, the Hôtel Concorde Berlin, offers a unique way of rewarding guests who support the environment.

All guests who book Hôtel Concorde Berlin’s Green Berlin package and choose train transport will receive an upgrade and free bike rental. On arrival, guests present their valid train ticket at check-in and receive an upgrade to the next highest available room category. To further help in protecting the environment, as well as enjoying sightseeing in the city, guests also receive a free rental bike for 24 hours.

Hôtel Concorde Berlin general manager, Mr. Carsten Colmorgen, is proud to be a trend-setter of Germany’s hotel industry. “Acting responsibly towards our environment and resources can be useful and fun at the same time,” he said.
Green Globe Certification CEO, Mr. Guido Bauer said: “This is a simple and yet elegant solution for rewarding hotel customers who are making their own efforts to support lowering emissions in the travel industry.

“Providing a real benefit for people to change their behavior is the best incentive for encouraging more sustainable travel patterns. It is easy to overlook the individual choices we make, but Hôtel Concorde Berlin reminds us that everything we do makes a difference and collectively can add up to significant changes.”

Since 1970, the Concorde Hotel Group has taken a responsible, coherent approach toward all the aspects of business that deliver sustainability. The group has always integrated environmental, social, and corporate values at the core of its managerial program and is proud to be Green Globe certified.
At Concorde Hotels&Resorts, being sustainable means above all guaranteeing the respect of human and workers’ rights across the associates. It means actively promoting staff training, diversity, and jobs for seniors and for the disabled. Hotels naturally consume huge amounts of resources, such as electricity and water, and generate waste. To counter this inherent trait, the objective is to limit impact on the environment and leave a considerably smaller carbon footprint.

The Hôtel Concorde Berlin is centrally located just off the fashionable Kurfuerstendamm Boulevard in the heart of the city west. It is opposite the Kranzler Eck, only 100 meters from the Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church and within walking distance of the Zoologischer Garten. Designed inside and out by renowned Berlin architect, Jan Kleihues, the Hôtel Concorde Berlin is characterized by elegant and understated design.

The Hôtel Concorde Berlin offers hotel service with a distinctly French accent, with art, architecture, and design creating an air of “savoir-vivre,” or the art of living. The Brasserie Le Faubourg offers traditional French cuisine with a Mediterranean accent, while the Saint Germain restaurant offers a delicious breakfast buffet, and guests can relax with a drink in the comfortable Le Faubourg Lounge with the Lutèce Bar.

Boasting the largest guest rooms in Berlin, the Hotel Concorde Berlin features 311 rooms including 44 different suites. All rooms and suites are characterized by understatement and elegance, with beautiful wood, warm colors, and uncluttered space. For more information about the Green Berlin package, visit: .
