Conservatorium Hotel celebrates Creativity and Innovation during Dutch Design Week
October 2, 2018 Bradley Cox

This Autumn, Conservatorium – Amsterdam’s leading luxury lifestyle hotel and a member of The Set hotel collection – is offering an exclusive ‘Dutch Design Week Package’ to enthral design lovers and immerse guests in current and upcoming artistic and design trends.

Artist in Residence Suite: Marie Cecile Thijs

Conservatorium is the first hotel to offer an initiative of this kind, supporting design and the local community during Dutch Design Week, which takes place in 2018 from the 20th – 28th October. The package includes a ‘Made to Match’ customised tour at the event, lead by a design week expert who will allow guests to explore innovative projects and explain the exhibits from their perspective as a designer. The ‘Dutch Design Week Package’ is ideal for those with an interest in exploring away from the well-trodden galleries.

Guests will have unlimited access to all Dutch Design Week venues throughout their stay, allowing them to freely explore the exhibits in their own time. As part of the package, guests will stay in one of two Artist in Residence Suites at the Conservatorium, decorated by two local artists.

Amsterdam is recognised amongst aficionados as being one of the most exciting cities for design. Since opening in 2011, Conservatorium has been regarded as a living canvas for Dutch designers with its guest rooms, hallways and restaurants showcasing home-grown talent. Design pervades every aspect of the hotel – with interiors by Piero Lissoni, and featuring regular art exhibitions with local artists including the Artist in Residence programme – Conservatorium continues to hold a central place in the capital’s art and design scene.
