Conservatorium celebrating the Tulip Festival
April 18, 2018 Bradley Cox

With spring in full bloom in the Netherlands, Green Globe certified Conservatorium is celebrating the Tulip Festival with several unique experiences in and around the hotel. Amsterdam’s leading luxury lifestyle palace, located in the heart of the city, will be adorned with over 1,000 tulips to discover. Last year, in celebration of its 5th year anniversary, Conservatorium revealed its very own tulip that is growing on the estate again this year as part of the Tulip Festival in which the Conservatorium takes part.

In the weekend from 13 until 15 April Conservatorium will set up a pop-up tulip shop in the Lounge in collaboration with house florist Menno Kroon, where guests can create their very own enticing tulip bouquets. Not only the most beautiful tulips will be available at this store, but also very unique hand painted vases.

From 1 until 30 April Conservatorium’s Brasserie is serving a Tulip cake, specially prepared by the Conservatorium, along with a cup of coffee, tea or even a glass of champagne to be enjoyed in the Lounge, amidst all the colourful flower arrangements.

In honour of the country’s national flower, the Conservatorium hotel will be offering guests a unique package to fully explore the flower festivities. The ‘Tulips in Bloom’ package includes a helicopter flight with extensive views over the vast multi-coloured tulip fields, flower parks and Dutch coast, a private driver for an exclusive journey across the grounds of a tulip farm for a unique introduction to art tulip cultivation where guests will get the chance to learn the fascinating history of this craft and even pick their very own tulips to take home. Moreover, guests will get entrance tickets to Keukenhof, the Netherland’s celebrated flower garden. Seven million bulbs and 800 varieties of tulips will adorne the park for a select period of time from 22 March until 13 May. Guests will enjoy the 32 hectares of flowers, spectacular flower shows, inspirational gardens, unique art and other tulip related events. To enjoy this unique experience, guests will also stay two night’s stay in one of Conservatorium’s luxury guestrooms or suites including breakfast.

The tulip pop-up shop is open at Friday 13 April from 17.00 until 21.00 and at Saturday 14 April and Sunday 15 April from 11.00 until 20.00.

The Tulip cake will be served in the Lounge and Brasserie from 1 until 30 April. Guests can enjoy a cup of coffee or tea with a the Tulip cake in the Lounge for a price of €15 per person.

The ‘Tulips in Bloom’ Package will be available from 29 March until 28 April, with rates starting from €1695,- per night inclusive of VAT, exclusive of 6% city tax, subject to availability. This package needs to be booked 14 days in advance.
