October 31, 2014 – All the big names in the Swiss travel industry were present at the Swiss Travel Awards in Zurich, where Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts received dual honours.
On behalf of the international hotel company, Mövenpick Executive Board member and Chief Operating Officer (Europe), Ola Ivarsson, accepted first prize in the Hotel Chain category. In addition, Jean-Gabriel Pérès, President and CEO of Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts, was nominated in the top six candidates for the Travel Personality Award.
After the presentation of the Hotel Chain of the Year award, a delighted Jean-Gabriel Pérès said, “We are very proud that we have won this award. Switzerland is an important market for us and we want to continue our growth here.”

The Swiss Travel Awards are based on evaluations made by travel agencies in Switzerland selected from the Markus Flühmann AG (Mailing House) database. Selected participants were given access to an online questionnaire and could enter their preferred providers in all categories. Two market research specialists, Dr. Rolf Hintermann and Sonja Wedekind were responsible for evaluation of the online survey.
