Around the planet a quiet revolution is moving forward with electric vehicles becoming the preferred choice of eco-conscious drivers. Electric vehicles dramatically cut down on air and noise pollution and now offer long range driving and come in a variety of model types, from compacts to luxury salons.
In an effort to reduce the UAE’s carbon footprint and encourage the use of transportation alternatives, Mövenpick Hotel Jumeirah Beach Dubai, has installed three fast charging stations capable of charging three cars simultaneously. The charging stations are now available for electric vehicle owners with a green card charger.
Designated parking spaces for such vehicles have been allocated on the hotel’s 1st level parking, and guests can use the stations for free.
Philip Jones, General Manager, Mövenpick Hotel Jumeirah Beach said, “In February 2017, Mövenpick Hotel Jumeirah Beach has been awarded a Green Globe Certificate for constantly introducing initiatives with the aim to reduce and optimise the consumption of energy and water resources.
“With the installation of the charging stations, we continue to emphasise on the importance of this practice by showing our ongoing commitment to environmental awareness,” added General Manager Jones.
